Case Study
Kit & Kaboodle
Having just celebrated his 20th year in business, Carl Johnson knew that he needed to adapt quickly when the COVID-19 pandemic hit in March 2020.
With TAKU, he was able to immediately use existing products in his in-store POS to launch an e-commerce store. At the same, TAKU’s unique integration to Google meant that he was able to attract more local shoppers searching online for products he had in stock.
Business type
Toys & Gifts
Williams Lake, BC
The problem
During the COVID-19 crisis, Carl needed to be able to quickly start taking orders online but he still wanted to encourage shoppers to visit his store. He also preferred options such as local delivery and curbside pickup to minimize packaging costs and shipping delays.
The solution
With TAKU, Kit & Kaboodle was able to quickly launch a mobile-friendly online store of his most popular products where shoppers could easily place orders for local delivery or curbside pickup. Built-in Google marketing helped to attract new customers to the store without any extra work.
